The movie trailer looks like it's gona be a predictable movie. I don't expect any clever twists and turns to the plot, nor anything very original. Probably will have some heart-rending scenes to bring your tears out, almost as though the movie is in desperate need to add some kind of substance to what is probably going to be a rather bland storyline! i.e. K3G style lol.

But I think it's worth a watch nonetheless. After all, it's SRK and Kajol! Their on-screen chemistry is always a treat, but will it suffice to earn the movie any real credibility in terms of storyline, plot, characters and message? Not sure.

I think its going to be more like Forest Gump, a story of the underdog trying to acieve something simple and doing some great heart warming things on his way Smiley Afro

Thought SRK was very good on Jonathon Ross, he came across very well and cracked a few gags too.  Not too keen on his warped religious values though.

I think its gonna be a good film - but what i can gather its gonna be based on 9/11 what happened in America and how Asians been attacked by others.

SRK has started a massive controversy in India, he criticised IPL teams for not selecting any Pakistani players (he didn't pick any players from Pakistan for his team!).  The Shiv Sena party have now stated that Khan is an undercover Pakistani and that they will ban his film in the state of Maharashtra.  Several cinemas have since been attacked by the party in order to disrupt the films release.

I'm glad. Maybe he needs to be reminded that no matter how much he wants to be "Indian", he will never be accepted as much as a true "hindustani". Discrimination is when you treat one person differently compared to another - just because of their ethnicity, age, race, etc.

If SRK made those comments as a hindustani, the media/politicians would probably say he is being "objective" and "impartial" even though not as patriotic as they'd like him to be. But instead, because he is in fact a Pakistani, they accuse him of treason, of being a Pakistani spy, etc.

Watched this last night and enjoyed it a lot, especially the second half which was the meatier part of the film. If you liked Forest Gump, you will love this. Shahrukh did an excellent job, as did Kajol. Im not a cryer but if you are, take some tissue with you.

Yasmin and I watched this and we both thought it was amazing too! Grin popcorn

It was very different to the usual SRK films/roles, but he did a very good job, as did Kajol...

Yasmin cried her eyes out (lol...  Roll Eyes), but I'm sure she won't mind me saying this... argue Roll Eyes Lips Sealed Evil  Tongue banana_hair

I would totally recommend it! Like Koyes said, very different to other bollywood movies I have seen, really touching, funny and very cute.

It handles the sensitive issues really well, and also made me realise how lucky I am that I wasn't so badly/directly affected by 9/11 as other Muslims in other areas of the world/country may have been.

SRK did a brilliant job!  Grin

i love srk...he has been my fave actor ever since he appeared on the silver screen but....i did not like this film...

other than srk the acting was poor and kajol overacted...when her son died she acted to calm and, i couldnt empathise with her at all...i didnt feel the love story and, you shouldnt try to imitate any aspect of forest gump because, it can not be done...!!!

all in all...disappointed.. Cry
